The thrilling second phase of the famous Kili Music Tour that involves top local artistes in the country resumes in Mbeya on Saturday and will be followed by the five regions in its coverage.
The tour, which involves more than 30 top local artistes, is expected to kick off at the City Pub where a big concert will be hosted.
There are already ground promotions being run by Kilimanjaro Premium Lager to sensitise Mbeya residents about the tour which is coordinated by East Africa TV and Radio, Executive Solutions, Aggrey and Clifford and Aim Group.
Speaking in Dar es Salaam, the Kilimanjaro Premium Lager Brand Manager, George Kavishe said phase one was so successful and stressed that the second phase is expected to be even bigger.
‘The first phase was so successful as we were able to fulfill our promise as we took entertainment to various regions after covering Moshi, Iringa, Songea Mwanza and Kahama and greatly entertained residents from these regions,’ said Kavishe.
He said it was not possible to get such big concerts charging a low entry fee of 3,000/- and those above 18 years of age getting a complimentary beer.
‘These concerts have also helped in boosting economies of the regions that we have been to in one way or another as the business community has been able to sell their goods and services,’ he said.
He urged residents in the remaining regions that the tour is yet to cover to turn out in large numbers in Mbeya, Kigoma, Dodoma, Tanga and Dar es Salaam so as to support the tour and see their artistes live.
‘We are kicking off in Mbeya this Saturday and we want to call upon all Mbeya residents to make this concert the biggest compared to all the rest that have happened so far,’ he said.
Artistes expected to colour the Mbeya concert include Professor J, Izzo Biznez, Weusi, Shilole, Mwana FA, AY, Rich Mavoko and Chibwa. The Kili Music Tour was on a one month break during the Holy month of Ramadhan.
